Steps to take after buying a car

​

This is a guide to the documents you will need after purchasing the car.

​

The documents required depend on the type of car you purchased.

​

①.ordinary vehicle

​

Ａ．Cash payment or loan payment

１．Proof of the car owner's seal registration certificate(INKAN SHOMEISHO)     

　　 One original copy within one month of issuance is required.

　　 If more than one month has passed, please contact us.

　　 Photocopied seal registration certificate cannot be used.

２．Power of attorney of the car owner 　 

　　 One power of attorney stamped with the registered seal is required.

　　 It cannot be used unless it is clearly stamped.

　　 If you are concerned about whether your personal seal can be clearly stamped, please bring your personal seal to the store.

　　 Please do not fill out anything on the Power of Attorney form as we will do all the work for you.

３．garage certificate      

　　 One document issued by the police department is required.

　　 After filling out the application form, submit it to the police station with jurisdiction.

　　 ・Apply for a parking space used by the user of the car, not the owner of the car.

 　　・The application must include a map from the parking lot to your home and a layout of the parking lot.

 　　・You will also need to get the owner of the parking lot to fill out a use consent form.

　　 ・If you are the owner of the parking lot, please complete the self-authorization form.

　　 After the application is submitted, the police station will inform you of the expected date of issuance of the document.

　　 After the scheduled date, please go to the police station to pick up the documents.

　　 Depending on the police station in your jurisdiction, there are different ways to fill out the form and how to apply.

 　　It is better to check with the police station in your jurisdiction to be sure.

 　　In addition, customers are responsible for the 2,600 yen required for application and pickup.

４．Certificate of residence and power of attorney for the user of the car

　　Required only if the car owner and user are different.

　　The power of attorney should be stamped with the personal seal of the car user in the circled area.

 　　If there is a space (usually there is one) in the power of attorney column of the power of attorney with the owner's seal

　　 stamped in step 2, please stamp your seal there. (This is the case for minors, where the owner is the father or mother and

　　 the user is the principal.)

５．If you have a trade-in car, please contact an employee.

Ｂ．For loan payments with ownership by a consumer credit company

１．Certificate of residence of the car user    

　　One original copy within one month of issuance is required.
